A weekend full of encouragements

The last weekend, I was back in my rural home in Bondo to attend a mixture of events. We had open air in a market place and we saw the hand of God moving with it's powers. Among the invited pastors was one whose father was a witch doctor and this pastor had been crippled since three years old. This man went through his primary education while crawling like a baby, but God did a miracle in his life and healed him. He can now walk and even stand up right when preaching. Also in attendance was a gospel artist whose testimony was very touching.

She was raped and got infected with HIV, syphilis and also got pregnant. God healed this lady after three years of her walk with HIV without any medication except for the ones for the syphilis. She is a living testimony of God's power to heal. For eight years she has been living on good health, so God heals HIV/AIDS. God has miraculously put songs into her heart, one of which God gave her on the very night she was completely healed.

One encouraging thing with this event, was that a group of about seven churches converged. This included one that believe in very weird doctrines, but it was good that the pastor spoke on the truth as it's in the bible contrary to what people make for themselves as doctrines for the church.

The Spiritual Maturity

This sunday I was in a local church and I was requested to teach. The subject I felt God wanted me to teach about was "The Spiritual Maturity". First I was explaining what spiritual infancy is, and how spiritual infants act. The Scriptures are clear about how Jesus wants us to gain maturity in Christ and carry fruit of the Holy Spirit. As you walk with God and let Him work in you, you will grow more mature as you decrease and God increases in.

Who am I

I'm Stephen, a DTS (Discipleship Training School) staff in Mombasa YWAM (Youth with a Mission) base from the year 2010 up to date. I created this blog to share some of my ministries and things I'm engaged in. Right now I'm helping staff the DTS in Athi River YWAM base for the lecturephase. Then I will be getting back to the base in Mombasa in December.

I'm working with the DTS because I have a calling in my heart and it encourages me to see God working and transforming the lives of His people that comes to do this school. God to me is my all in all. He is my everything. His love for me is assured in His word and it was and is being seen in His forgiving heart.
